Choose the mode and page layout

Classic mode is the familiar row, column, and 3×3 box puzzle. Hell Mode adds Killer cages and sum clues, so its smaller labels need more space on paper.

  • 1 puzzle per page · large numbers · portrait: best for beginners, large handwriting, or maximum cage clarity.
  • 2 per page · medium numbers · portrait: a balanced choice for everyday solving and handouts.
  • 4 per page · small or medium numbers: useful for compact practice sheets; check the preview before printing Hell puzzles.
  • 6 per page · small numbers · landscape: saves paper, but suits confident solvers with good eyesight best.

Use solutions, QR codes, and paper settings

Solutions are placed on separate pages, making them easy to hold back for a class or check after solving. The QR code opens online play in the selected mode and difficulty; it is not an answer key.

  • Select the paper loaded in your printer—A4 or Letter—in the browser print dialog to prevent clipping.
  • Start at 100% browser print scale; use “Fit to page” only if the preview touches an edge.
  • Use normal or high print quality for crisp grid and cage lines; color ink is not required.

Printing FAQ

Does the printout include solutions?

Only when “Include solutions” is enabled. Each solution sheet is printed after the puzzle pages, so it can be kept separate.

What does the QR code open?

It opens the online game in the mode and difficulty selected for the sheet. It does not reveal the solution to the printed puzzle.

What browser print scale should I use?

Begin at 100%. If the browser preview clips a border, confirm the correct A4 or Letter paper size first, then choose “Fit to page” or reduce the scale slightly.

How can I avoid unexpected page breaks?

Match the browser paper size and orientation to the settings shown here. If a page still wraps, use fewer puzzles per page or open the PDF preview before printing.

Can I print Hell Mode puzzles clearly?

Yes. Because Killer cage sums and borders need room, use one or two puzzles per page with medium or large numbers for the clearest result.
